The compact chain for mining applications can replace the commonly used circular chains of the same nominal diameter without requiring any modifications to the existing scraper conveyors. Moreover, the use of compact chains for mining allows for the installation of lower side coal guards on scraper conveyors. According to DIN 22255 and MT/T 929 standards, the outer width of the standing links in compact chains for mining is one order of magnitude smaller than that of the standing links in circular chains manufactured according to DIN 22255, GB/T 12718, and PN-G-46701 standards. For example, the maximum outer width b4 (98) of a 34×126 mm compact chain for mining is equivalent to the maximum outer width b2 (97) of a 30×108 mm circular chain for mining.
The upright links of the compact chains (flat chains) provided can be manufactured using a flattening process. For chain grades whose mechanical properties do not meet the DIN 22255 standard, Green has developed Green Technical Specifications. The upright links of the compact chains supplied by Green can be manufactured either through flattening or forging. If customers have specific requirements for compact chains beyond those already available, Green can manufacture them according to MT/T929 and the company’s own standards established by Green’s experts. Additionally, Green’s technical specialists can offer custom-made solutions tailored specifically to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
